INFINITI Engine – Performance, Efficiency, Innovation
Under the hood of the new 2016 INFINITI Q50 sedan and the upcoming 2017 INFINITI Q60 (arriving soon) are the most advanced engines INFINITI has ever offered. Both sports models are offered with a choice of engines ranging from the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.5-liter hybrid and the powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.
New INFINITI Q50
A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will be available for the first time in the Q50 this winter. Built in partnership with Daimler and assembled in Decherd, Tennessee, the 2.0-liter engine produces 208 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers will have the choice between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations.
INFINITI ’s proven gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain will continue to be available, using a 3.5-liter V6 and electric motor to generate 360 hp while providing excellent fuel economy. The INFINITI Q50 Hybrid gets an EPA-estimated 29 mpg city and 36 mpg highway and has a 0-60 time of just 4.9 seconds for the two-wheel drive version. All-wheel drive and Q50S Hybrid models are also available.
New INFINITI Q60
For those who want unpresedented power in a sports model, the V6 twin turbo models are the answer. The compact and lightweight new VR-series 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine delivers 300 horsepower for the Q50 and new Q60 3.0t models. An impressive 400 hp model, the Q50 Red Sport will also be available soon.
